Behavioral Medicine Courses

RESEARCH AREAS

Additional Course Requirements for Graduate Students in Behavioral Medicine

Students enrolled in the Behavioral Medicine Program must satisfy all department requirements and the requirements of their Ph.D. or Master's program. In addition, the Behavioral Medicine Program has the following curriculum requirements.

  1. Two course survey of behavioral medicine, Behavioral Medicine I and II (Psychology 7440 & 7441).
  2. A psychotherapy course (Psychology 7434) related to behavior therapy/behavioral medicine (clinical students only).
  3. A one-year clinical practicum related to behavioral medicine (clinical students only).
  4. A thesis, major area paper/specialty exam, and dissertation related to behavioral medicine.
  5. Nine credit hours of research practica related to behavioral medicine (any combination of Psychology 7601-7609).
  6. Attend the Behavioral Medicine colloquium.
  7. Clinical internship related to behavioral medicine (clinical students only).
