Ludy T. Benjamin, Jr., Professor of Psychology at Texas A&M University, is holder of the Fasken Chair in Distinguished Teaching and is Presidential Professor of Teaching Excellence. After receiving his PhD in experimental psychology from Texas Christian University he began his academic career at Nebraska Wesleyan University (1970-1978), served two years as Director of Educational Affairs for the American Psychological Association (1978-1980), and then joined the faculty at Texas A&M. He is the recipient of two distinguished teaching awards from Texas A&M as well as the American Psychological Foundation's Distinguished Teaching in Psychology Award in 1986 and the 2001 Distinguished Career Contributions to Education and Training Award of the American Psychological Association. |
