Our MissionThe I-O concentration in Psychology at The U of M is dedicated to the intensive training of students in the theories and methodologies of Industrial and Organizational Psychology to prepare them for careers in both academic and applied settings. We accomplish this goal by admitting a diverse group of high-quality students, and involving them throughout their graduate education in course work in Psychology and Business, continuous research activities, and placements in real world settings. This effort is grounded in our core value of supporting the University's urban mission and its pursuit of "Engaged Scholarship" in the community, by providing needed services to local organizations, while working within a framework that affords meaningful research and funding opportunities.
