Psychology Inspire |
|
Psychology Inspire is an integral part of the Department of Psychology’s longstanding commitment to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities who pursue graduate degrees in the social and behavioral sciences.
During the summer (2008), PSYCHOLOGY INSPIRE will bring undergraduate and high school students to the University of Memphis campus for a six-week program. Events and activities will showcase five main programmatic themes including lab and research experiences, didactic science lectures, professional development, mentoring, and networking. Participants will work side-by-side with a faculty mentor on a guided research project, attend weekly seminars and assist in implementing a summer camp focused on teaching children life skills while helping them learn math concepts online. Students will present their work at a poster session at the end of the program. | Overview
