She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus. Currently, she is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Memphis. Tara has three years of clinical experience working in the Psychological Services Center at the University of Memphis. During this time she also received additional clinical intervention and assessment experience at the Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps Center and the Center for Pediatric Neuropsychology. Tara is currently applying nationwide for a clinical internship position. Tara has clinical research experience in psycho-oncology, which took place at the West Clinic, a comprehensive hematology, oncology, and radiology clinic in Memphis serving the Mid-South. Additionally, she has collaborated on research projects relating to health/healthcare disparities and bereavement. Her current research interests are direct-to-consumer advertising and antidepressant use. Her dissertation is an experimental study of the effects of information (advertising vs. scientific) on perceptions of antidepressant pharmacotherapy. |
